Locking device comprising a forend (1) having at least one bolt opening (10), a lock case (2) disposed on the forend and having a locking mechanism, and at least one lock bolt (9, 9', 9''), which is mechanically coupled to the locking mechanism and is movable between a position retracted into the lock case and a position extended through the bolt opening, wherein the lock bolt, in its extended position, is accommodated in the bolt opening with a clearance to the forend. At least one blocking member (20, 30, 20', 30', 20' ', 30' '), is disposed in the lock case. The blocking member extends, in contact with a side of the lock bolt running parallel with the motional direction of the lock bolt, in the direction away from the said side, inside the forend, when the lock bolt is in its extended position.
