PURPOSE: A method for managing the location of a femtocell base station and authenticating femtocell base station and a device thereof are provided to manage and confirm the location of the femtocell base station, thereby preventing use of the femtocell base station in a place in which access is not permitted and providing LBS(Location Base Service). CONSTITUTION: A femtocell base station management server(233) communicates with a femtocell base station to control the stateof the femtocell base station and collect information of neighboring macrocells from the femtocell base station. A femtocell base station location management server(235) compares a location measured using the information of neighboring macrocells with a registered location of the particular femtocell base station. According to a comparison result, a femtocell base station location management server requests the activation or inactivation of the particular femtocell base station to the femtocell base station management server.
