The device has a diode for alternating current (DIAC) (8) connected at a circuit between current supply connection of a printed circuit board (1) and connected at a conductor end carrying current supply potential. The DIAC is connected to a switching transistor which is switched on at an output of a light emitting diode with its base. An emitter is switched at a conductor end carrying reference potential e.g. ground potential.
