PURPOSE: A navigation system for a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to help a driver to drive well by sharing information about a specific spot. CONSTITUTION: A method of a navigation system for a vehicle is as follows. When a vehicle is approached to a first specific spot, pre-set state information about the first specific spot is displayed(S11). When the first specific spot state information is selected, the position information of the first specific spot and the first specific spot state information are transferred. An information transfer key for transferring the first specific spot state information is displayed on route guide information. When the vehicle is approached to the first specific spot, the information transfer key is activated(S13).
