Disclosed is a computer program which perform the steps of: receiving a 3-dimensional representation of a first object; providing a set of controls adapted to allow selections which specify characteristics of a piece of jewellery to be made; and receiving through the set of controls indications of events identifying said selections. The program then generates a 3-dimensional representation of the first object combined with the piece of jewellery and provides a display of the 3-dimensional representation. The representation includes a geometrical mesh representation comprising mesh elements including photographic representations of parts of the first object.
