PURPOSE: An automatic inspection system for the stain of a polarizer and a method for inspecting the stain using the same are provided to produce a superior quality of polarizer by inspecting the failure of the polarizer due to the stain which is generated in the fine region of the polarizer. CONSTITUTION: An inspection unit(40) includes at least one reference polarizer(20). A target polarizer(30) is mounted at right angles. A light source unit(10) is placed on the rear side of the inspection unit. The light source unit radiates light to the inspection unit. A camera unit(50) is placed on the front side of the inspection unit and takes an image of the target polarizer. The image is transmitted to an operation unit(60). The operation unit verifies the failure of the target polarizer due to a stain.
