The panel has a light beam emitting unit (5) e.g. diode, including an light emitting source (11) to emit light beam from a front face (7) or rear face (8) of the source. The source is housed inside a plate (1) of transparent material placed close to an edge (4) such that the source emits the beam in a direction. A housing (9) is placed in a zone (10) of the plate. Distance (d1) separating bottom (12) of the housing and a flat face (3) of the plate is sufficient such that the beam propagates by reflection in another zone (13) of the plate situated above the housing and between bottom and edge. The edge is covered with a reflecting material.
