PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a magnification rate and focus even if temperature varies in optical equipment. SOLUTION: Optical equipment includes: a lens-driving means which forms an image of an object on an imaging plane by means of an optical system having a plurality of lens groups including a movable lens group RR and a variater lens group and drives the movable lens group RR and the variater lens group; a temperature-detecting means which detects the information on the temperatures of the structural members of the optical system; a reference position-setting means which sets the reference position of at least one lens of the movable lens group; and a reference position-setting temperature storage means which stores a temperature at which a reference position is set. In this case, the optical equipment corrects the movable range of a variater on the basis of the temperature stored by the reference position-setting temperature storage means.
