PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of shortening the rise time from energy-saving mode. SOLUTION: A composite machine 1, equipped with a constituted device that includes a print part 3, can be transferred into the energy-saving mode. The composite machine 1 includes opening/closing detection parts 23, 33, 42 for detecting opening/closing of a member, relative to each opening/closing member provided in the constituted device. When opening/closing is detected by the opening/closing detection parts 23, 33, 42 in the energy-saving mode, energy-saving mode is removed, and initialization operation of the constitution device is executed, and power supply in a normal state is restarted to a heater lamp 32, which is controlled in the energy-saving mode. When the energy-saving mode is removed, in a condition other than the detection of opening/closing by the opening/closing detection parts 23, 33, 42, initialization operation of the constitution device is omitted, and a marginal portion of power supply generated by omission is added and supplied to the heater lamp 32 with a surplus, and thereby the time required for the temperature of a fixing device to return to the temperature in the operation mode is shortened.
