<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric dust collector configured with an electrode plate of a shape merely requiring a short drying time after washing in the electric dust collector. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric dust collector includes a discharge electrode 3, an electrostatically charged section 1 comprising a ground electrode plate 4 disposed in parallel with the discharge electrode 3, a dust collecting electrode plate 6, and a dust collecting section 8 comprising the ground electrode plate 4 disposed in parallel with the dust collecting electrode plate 6, wherein the discharge electrode 3 has a predetermined angle α in the horizontal direction, a predetermined angle β of the ground electrode plate 4 is provided horizontally on the lateral direction side, and a predetermined angle γ of the dust collecting electrode plate 6 is provided horizontally on the lateral direction side, thereby enabling the system to drain off water of a washing liquid attached to the electrode plate for a short time.
