<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detection apparatus and a radiation image photographing system capable of easily making a flexible radiation conversion panel into a planar shape. <P>SOLUTION: In a radiation detection cassette 10, a flexible screen 28 includes a flexible grid 34, a sensor substrate 41, a lead sheet 42, and shape memory members 32a, 32b disposed at the sides of the grid 34, the sensor substrate 41, and the lead sheet 42 to surround the grid 34, the sensor substrate 41, and the lead sheet 42.
