PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation for an indoor sports competition, which makes possible efficient storage of materials and transportation, which can be easily assembled by anyone, and which is excellent in cushioning performance. SOLUTION: A notch 3 is provided to a plurality of partitions 1, 2 made of corrugated paper, and a receiving base 4 is formed by engaging the notches 3 of the plurality of partitions 1, 2 with each other in the shape of parallel crosses. Then a ceiling panel 8 is constituted in a multi-layered structure by laying a plurality of cover plates 5 made of corrugated paper, cover plates 6 made of wood, and cover plates 7 made of corrugated paper so that they overlap each other one by one, and is installed on the receiving base 4. Since the foundation for the indoor sports competition is constituted of a fragmented leaf-formed member, it is not voluminous when it is stored and transported in an disassembled state and can be easily assembled even by a worker without any special skills. Furthermore, the impact during a competition is relaxed because of the cushioning function of the corrugated paper of the partitions 1, 2 and the cover plates 5, 7, and bending strength can also be secured by the use of the cover plates 6 made of wood.
