PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a degree of freedom when mounting on equipment by enabling direct soldering of each electrode pin of a gas sensing element and that of a compensation element to an external substrate. SOLUTION: An external connection terminal 10 made of a solderable material is mounted to a part projecting outside from a mount base 2 of the electrode pins 4a, 5a. The external connection terminal 10 is formed cylindrically and each of the respective electrode pins 4a, 5a is inserted into the cavity of the external connection terminal 10 for mounting. Preferably the respective electrode pins 4a, 5a are joined and fixed to the external connection terminal 10 by a laser welding method. The external connection terminal 10 is formed by a material selected from one of nickel, copper, and an alloy of nickel and copper. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
