<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection and control system which can secure reliability to be attained which is equivalent to that for a protection and control unit, while suppressing cost increase in the protection and control unit. <P>SOLUTION: The protection and control system includes: a plurality of protection and control units 3, connected to a first bus 15 transmitting analog input and device information from a transformer as serial data and to a second bus 16, transmitting the protection and control information of the transformer as serial data for the protection of the transformer and control calculation; a database unit 14, connected to the second bus 16 for storing unit information containing the software and the set value of each protection and control unit 3; and a preliminary protection and control unit 10, connected to the first and second buses 15, 16 and when any one among the plurality of protection and control units 3 is defective, the unit information of the protection and control unit 3 is downloaded from the database unit 14 via the second bus 16 to operate as an alternative unit of the protection and control unit 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
