The invention relates to a leaf vacuum comprising a housing (12; 152) with an inlet (14) for sucking up items to be vacuumed, an outlet (16) for distributing the vacuumed items to a collection container (20) and comprising a fan (30) which has a fan impeller (62; 156) that can rotate about a rotational axis (64) and is coupled to a drive motor (38; 154) for generating a process air flow from the inlet to the outlet. To improve the handling of the leaf vacuum, according to the invention, the fan impeller is designed as an axial fan impeller (62; 156) and the drive motor (38; 154) is located in the housing (12; 152) in the flow path of the process air between the inlet (14) and the outlet (16).
