<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate waste in overhead processing and to improve productivity in image-merging processing by reducing a total number of components to be installed in an image data processor that generates a page raster as image data having a format rasterized for each page on the basis of page description data described by page description language for variable printing. <P>SOLUTION: New reuse components including reuse components constituting one reuse component group that are merged for each page in which the reuse components constituting the reuse component group are the same and the placement positions of the reuse components are the same, are formed on the basis of layout information, the reuse component group being in a range from a lowermost layer in an order of image component placement to a layer prior to a layer having a variable component by one. A description of the reuse components constituting the reuse component group in the layout information is replaced with a description of the new reuse components corresponding to the reuse component group, thereby preparing new layout information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
