<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact detection device of electrostatic capacity type capable of preventing electric waves radiated from an electrode of an electrostatic capacity sensor from affecting on-vehicle electronic equipment adversely. <P>SOLUTION: This contact detection device of electrostatic capacity type for detecting a user's contact with a surface of a door handle on an outer side of a vehicle is provided with two electrostatic capacity sensors constituted by forming a capacitor by cooperation of the sensor electrode provided on the door handle with a conductor close to the sensor electrode, a charging and discharging part for letting each sensor electrode charge and discharge periodically to detect electrostatic capacity, a phase adjusting part for making a phase of electric wave generated due to charging and discharging from each sensor electrode reverse phase between the electrostatic capacity sensors, and a detection part for detecting the user's contact with the surface of the door handle based on changes of electrostatic capacity in the electrostatic capacity sensors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
