PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce jaggies of a design in a printing method in dot-printing for an instrument board. SOLUTION: The printing method for an instrument board forms at least either one of a design 4 whose outline 5 crosses in XY directions and a background 23 adjacent to the outline 5 of the design 4 on the surface of a substrate constituting an instrument board by printing in the shape of dots with a prescribed light characteristic value which is light transmittance or light reflectance. The method includes: an extracting step of extracting, out of the outline 5, straight line parts 521-524 formed of a plurality of dots arranged in one of the XY directions and level difference parts 511-514 formed of dots shifted in the other of the XY directions with respect to the straight line parts 521-524; and a printing step of printing dots having an intermediate light characteristic value between the design characteristic value which is the light characteristic value of the design 4 and a background characteristic value which is the light characteristic value of the background 23 at the dot position on the side of the straight line parts 521-524 and adjacent to the level difference parts 511-514.
