PURPOSE: A drier using heat pumps is provided to reduce the time for drying by dehumidifying and heating objects in two stages to create the optimal dry air. CONSTITUTION: A drier comprises a drying compartment(10) receiving objects to be dried, and first and second heat pumps(20,30). The drying compartment has an inlet port(11) and an outlet port(12). The first and second heat pumps include first and second compressors(21,31), first and second condensers(22,32), first and second expansion valves(33), and first and second evaporators(24,34). The first and second evaporators and the first and second compressors are arranged in sequence from the outlet side within a heat exchange duct(50) so that the air discharged from the drying compartment passes therethrough. The air exhausted from the drying compartment is dehumidified and heated through the first and second evaporators and the first and second compressors, and then the dried air to the drying compartment.
