A high-frequency welding process uses a tool made of aluminium, copper, lead, type metal or zinc. The design portions are preferably raised 0À26 inch or less. A tool is made by photoetching, and duplicates are produced by casting from a wetted flong paper pressed against the original so as to constitute a matrix. The tool may be used to weld together two sheets of thin plastics material with an intervening layer of foamed plastics material, or to weld paper or rubber sheet.</p> |
