<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a PWM waveform signal without being delayed for change of a duty value by adopting a delay counter to dead time generation and to generate the PWM waveform signal of full duty even by a dead time generation method using the delay counter. <P>SOLUTION: Three single direction counters, a first counter (22), a second counter (23), and a third counter (32) are used, triangle carrier wave is generated by counting signals of the first counter (22) and the second counter (23), these counted values are compared with a target duty value, when a high side PWM signal GH and a low side PWM signal GL are generated or updated, a complementary type PWM waveform signal by which full duty output is possible having dead time conforming to change of the target duty value is generated by a pulse width modulation (PWM) waveform generator of configuration of generating the dead time using the third counter (32). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
