<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, system and method for retrieval of commodities, and a program, capable of facilitating the ease of operation of a user related to the retrieval of commodities and efficiently acquiring commodity information. <P>SOLUTION: The commodity retrieving device includes a database where information about a commodity image and a keyword for retrieving the information about this commodity are associated and registered for each commodity. The commodity retrieving device further includes: an image acquiring means for acquiring image data transmitted from a client terminal; a commodity specifying means for specifying a commodity to be retrieved from a database based on the image data; a keyword extracting means for extracting a keyword corresponding to the specified commodity from the database; a retrieval requesting means for requesting retrieval using the extracted keyword from a retrieval server for providing retrieval service of web information on the Internet; and a retrieval result presenting means for presenting retrieval results transmitted from the retrieval server to a client terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
