PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of extracting a required partial area from an image containing an object with a low load and at a low cost. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes an image acquisition means and an object specifying means. The image acquisition means acquires a first image which has photographed a predetermined area including an object and a second image which has a higher resolution than the first image and has photographed a narrower area than the predetermined area. The object specifying means specifies an object area to be an object for image recognition processing in the predetermined area corresponding to the first image by searching the first image acquired by the image acquisition means.
