PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe in which it is unnecessary to perform a tightening adjustment operation each time when the shoe is worn or taken off, and foreign matters such as sand are hardly entered thereinside. SOLUTION: The shoe 20 includes: a sole 11; an upper 12 which is raised upward from the outer periphery of the sole 11, formed in a manner surrounding the foot, and composed of an opening 12a and a slit 12b; a tongue 23 which is projectingly formed on the vamp on the toe side of the upper 12; and a fastening belt 14 which is projectingly formed from one side of the upper 12 and which engages with a hook-and-loop fastener 12c provided on the other side of the upper 12. In this shoe, a hook-and-loop fastener 22e is provided on the upper side of the edges 12d of the slit 12b of the upper 12, while a hook-and-loop fastener 23b is provided at the left and right ends of the lower side of the tongue 23. The tongue 23 is placed over the slit 12 of the upper 12, where the respective hook-and-loop fasteners 23b, 22e of the tongue and the slit are engaged with each other.
