<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction implement for a vacuum cleaner which facilitates removal of dust attached onto both surfaces of a screen window, and has high persistence of dust removal performance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The suction implement 11 to be used for cleaning the screen window includes: a suction implement body 12; a rotary brush 21; and a one-way clutch (a rotation load means). The rotary brush 21 includes: a brush body 22 to be exposed to the suction opening 13a of the suction implement body 12; and a cleaning member 25 mounted on the outer periphery of the brush body 22. The rotary brush 21 is arranged rotatably around an axial line extending in a direction being the same as that of the suction opening 13a. The cleaning member 25 includes bristles 25a to fall when the suction implement body 12 is moved in one direction along the screen window and to be raised when the suction implement body 12 is moved in the opposite direction of the one direction along the screen window. The one-way clutch permits the rotation of the rotary brush 21 when the suction implement body 12 is moved in the one direction, and imposes a load on the rotation of the rotary brush 21 when the suction implement body 12 is moved in the opposite direction of the one direction.
