The machine (1) has a drying part (4) arranged downstream to a wet part (3). A conveying device (10) conveys a web (F) e.g. paper web, to a drying device (7) i.e. air stream drying device (13), of the drying part under formation of a delivery region between conveying and continuative tension belts (8, 9). A suction roller (15) is arranged in the conveying tension belt downstream to the delivery region, and is movable from an operating position into another operating position under opening of the delivery region. The suction roller is movable in and/or perpendicular to a machine direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for conveying a web in a web producing machine.
