PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of the operation of an air conditioner at low temperature by attaching a pedestal for an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, to an outdoor unit of the general air conditioner to heat a refrigerant, to enable positioning of the outdoor unit upwardly only providing a heating structure, and to reduce electric power consumption. SOLUTION: This pedestal for the outdoor unit of the air conditioner is provided with: a box-shaped case body 10 serving as a pedestal on which the outdoor unit of the air conditioner is placed; a heat insulating layer 20 comprising a heat insulating member covering the inner wall of the case body 10; a heat accumulating layer 30 provided inside the heat insulating layer 20 and comprising heat accumulating bricks; a long heat exchange pipe 50 connected to an indoor unit and the outdoor unit so that a refrigerant made to flow from the indoor unit of the air conditioner is made to flow in and flow out to the outdoor unit of the air conditioner and provided inside the heat accumulating layer 30 or on the inner side; and a heating means 60 for heating the heat accumulating bricks.
