PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for a cold-cathode fluorescent lamp in which depletion of Argon gas in a tube is hard to occur even if a discharge current is increased to around 20 mA. SOLUTION: The composition is made so that WB has≥50 vol.%, and at least one kind out of Ni, Ni alloy, and Co has≥0.8 vol.%, and furthermore, the rest is composed of at least one of W and WC and inevitable impurities.
