PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for converting energy are provided to convert energy by a signal into electric energy using a Schottky contact between a nano wire and a metal. CONSTITUTION: An energy converter includes a first electrode(10), a second electrode(20), and a nano wire(30). The first electrode and the second electrode are separated. The nano wire is formed on the first electrode and is made of a piezoelectric material. The nano wire is resonated by the applied signal and is contacted with the second electrode. The second electrode includes a concavo-convex region.
