METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF SURVIVAL IN PATIENTS WITH SEROUS OVARY CANCER BY MEANS OF DETERMINATION OF PROGESTERONE-ESTROGEN STATUS OF TUMOR

Method for prediction of survival of patients with serous ovary cancer by means of determination of progesterone-estrogen status of tumor through investigation of hormonal status. One performs immune-histochemical investigation of samples of tumor tissue of ovary by means of monoclonal antibodies (RE clone ID5 and RP clone PgR636) ("DakoCytomation", Denmark)) to progesterone and estrogen receptors with determination of number of positively dyed cells (mark index – IM, %) for each of markers, with comparison of mark index to respective threshold values, with determination of statistical probability of 5-year prediction for survival of patients with serous cancer.
