A capillary tube (19) having a thermistor wire is in proximity of an upper edge (21) of a visible opening (13) of the housing and extends over an entire horizontal width of the visible opening. The capillary tube outputs a temperature-dependent sensor signal to a control circuit (25). The circuit provides an activation signal during increasing temperature of the capillary tube to introduce a measure counteracting an exhaust gas emission to the opening and/or release a warning signal.</p>
