APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENTS

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for providing contents are provided to supply accurate information for each difficulty level to a learner by calculating the difficulty degree through ontology. CONSTITUTION: A contents database(102) stores contents, and an ontology database(104) stores index words of the content in a tree-structured ontology, wherein the contents are stored in the contents database. A contents difficulty calculating unit(106) calculates the study level of the stored in the contents database by using the ontology for each index words. A contents recommending unit provides the post learning contents to the contents user by using the contents usage history information and the contents level information.
