<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven compressor reducing manufacturing cost by improving work efficiency in assembling and materializing miniaturization by reducing length dimension in the axial direction. <P>SOLUTION: In the motor-driven compressor 1 having a compression mechanism part 31, an electric motor 11, and an inverter 21 arranged in series in order, the electric motor 11 includes a coil end 15a positioned at a compression mechanism part 31 and a coil end 15b positioned at an inverter 21 side. Motor harness 27 is connected to the coil end 15a, and the length L1 thereof is larger than the length L2 of the coil end 15b positioned at the inverter 21 side. An air-tight terminal 22 is attached to a bottom part 2a of a motor housing 2, and a conductive member 22b extends in a wiring passage 9 of the motor housing 2.
