A valve for controlling the pumping of an emulsion in the mixing of a liquid explosive which includes a piston which is controlled during reciprocation by two valve members which are biased by a spring so that it is not possible for both valve members to be displaced from their respective valve seats simultaneously. This results in precisely controlled pumping strokes.
