<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform setting that paints out color printing but does not paint out monochrome printing, or to perform setting that paints out both the color printing and the monochrome printing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Whether an image is a specific image that is inhibited from being duplicated is identified on the basis of first RGB image data representing the image, and in setting that allows a monochrome image to be duplicated, R image data or B image data of the first RGB image data identified to be the specific image are converted into a painting out level, and in setting that inhibits the monochrome image from being duplicated, G image data of the first RGB image data identified to be the specific image are converted into a painting out level, and in a color mode for outputting a color image, second RGB image data comprising the converted image data and the other image are converted into CMYK image data for printing, and in a monochrome mode for outputting a monochrome image, the G image data are converted into K image data for printing.
