<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of reliability information to be used for error correction. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A receiving apparatus is configured to include an equalization unit wherein an interpolation filter selector selects one interpolation filter from among a plurality of interpolation filters on the basis of the variance of extracted pilot signals, a slice threshold selector selects a calculation condition to be used for calculating reliability information in accordance with the selected interpolation filter, and a reliability information generator generates reliability information by comparing an output from the selected interpolation filter with the selected calculation condition.
