<p>Disclosed is a more efficient distortion compensation amplification device with a pre-distorter (1). A level detection means (11) detects a signal level. A correspondence memory means (12) outputs distortion compensation coefficients in response to the signal level. A pre-distortion execution means (13) imparts distortion having the inverse characteristics to a signal. A filter means (8) outputs the distorted signal component from a feedback signal of the output of an amplifier (4). A correspondence acquisition means (14) updates the coefficients for training to construct a function which imparts the inverse characteristics so that the distorted signal component becomes smaller. Orthogonal polynomials are used in the function which imparts the inverse characteristics. Each orthogonal function is the sum of the products of the functions of the input signal and the parameters. The parameter values are set so that the orthogonal functions are mutually orthogonal when the function, which is obtained by applying a filter having the same characteristics as the filter means (8) to the function of the input signal, is replaced by a function of the input signal constructed by the orthogonal functions.</p> |
