<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic watch, and a method and a program capable of correcting a time difference based on a satellite signal transmitted from a position information satellite with required minimum power consumption by optimizing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The wrist watch 1 with GPS includes a GPS device 70, a controller 40, a dial 11, and a pointer 12. The GPS device 70 generates position information by performing geolocation calculation based on satellite information obtained from a received satellite signal. A base band 60 (time difference determination means 60-4) calculates an assumed position region based on position information and determines whether or not the assumed position region includes a time difference boundary based on the time difference information stored in a flash memory 66. Besides, the controller 40 (time information correction means 40-2), when it is determined that the assumed position region does not include the time difference boundary, corrects internal time information based on the time difference of the assumed position region. When it is determined that the assumed position region does not include the time difference boundary, the GPS device 70 completes receiving operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
