<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exclusive tool and a method for surely collecting an Egi (lure) for cuttlefish-fishing, which tends to be caught at bottoms, without damaging the body of the Egi. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The Egi-recovering tool 1 includes a covering member 2 which is a saddle-shaped curving body having a C- or U-shaped cross section having an opened up lower direction, weights 3 arranged at the lower ends on both sides of the covering member and a seesawing body 4 which is a wire material surrounding from the frontal lower side to the upper rear side of the covering member by making the opposing positions on both sides of the covering member as turning shafts. In this case, the one end of the lower end of the seesawing body is notched, and the turning area of the seesawing body is restricted so as not to cross completely the frontal opening port of the covering member.
