FIXATION OF ASTAXANTHIN WHICH IS ESTRACTED FROM PHOTOSYNTHETIC MICROALGAE

PURPOSE: A fixation method of astaxanthin isolated from photosynthetic microalgae is provided to adsorb carotenoid pigment to chitosan and fix the pigment with high efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A fixation method of astaxanthin using chitosan comprises: a step of concentrating fungi containing high concentration of carotenoid pigment a step of grinding the concentrated fungi with cold water to form cell lysate emulsion; a step of adding deacetylated chitosan to the cell lysate emulsion in a volume ratio of 0.1-1:1 to adsorb carotenoid pigment to chitosan; and a step of washing the adsorbed chitosan with ion exchange water. The carotenoid pigment is selected from astaxanthin, beta-caroten, lycopene, beta-cryptoxanthin, and zeaxanthin.
