PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more detailed traffic information in a relatively narrow area. SOLUTION: In a traffic information providing system 1 having autonomous distributed traffic signal control devices 10 respectively installed in intersections inside the area, a roadside information server 20, and a plurality of roadside machines 30, predicted traffic jam quantities of respective approaching routes to the intersections calculated in the respective traffic signal control devices 10 are transmitted to the roadside information server 20 as traffic information of the intersections (intersection traffic information). The roadside information server 20 calculates local traffic information by integrating the intersection traffic information of the respective intersections received from the respective traffic signal control devices 10, and distributes the calculated local traffic information to the respective roadside machines 30.
