PURPOSE: A steering control method and a device which follows a target parking route is provided to control parking by controlling steering by reflecting how much it has left the target parking route. CONSTITUTION: A steering control method which follows a target parking route comprises steps: a step of producing information about a target steering angle according to the movement distance of the vehicles using the target parking route; a step of estimating the actual location and the target location in the movement distance using the information about the target steering angle and actual steering angle; a step of producing a compensation value from difference of the target location and actual location; and a step of transmitting a steering command, which is produced based on the compensation value, to a steering actuator(240).
