<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure having a torque receiving surface 19 in a caliper 5a, capable of eliminating the need for a joining member such as a connecting pin and obtaining a turn-out side strength of the caliper 5a. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Of a pair of connecting parts 32a, 32b for connecting outer and inner bodies 3a, the turn-out side connecting part 32a is extended to cover the turn-out side of both outer and inner pads 10a so as to secure the strength of the turn-out side of the caliper 5a. A projection 23, projecting to the turn-out side edge of both pads 10a, is engaged with a recessed groove 22 formed in one side of each wall part 21 formed in the turn-out side of both bodies 3a. As result, both pads 10a are positioned for the radial direction of the turn-out side. For this positioning in the radial direction, there is no need for a projection to be provided in the radial inner end of the caliper 5a, so that the torque receiving surface 19 can be processed from the radial inside of the caliper 5a.
