PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size of an apparatus, and trace both rims of a frame such as a highly-curved frame and a frame having a forwardly-protruded bridge. SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring a shape of the eyeglass frame is provided with: a measurement unit having a frame holding means comprising first and second sliders for vertically holding the left and right lens rims of the frame when it is worn, and a measurement element movement mechanism for moving a measurement element along a lens rim groove, detecting a movement of the measurement element, and obtaining the three-dimensional shape of the lens rim; a lateral movement mechanism for laterally moving the measurement unit when both eyes are traces; and a control means formed in the first or second slider, controlling a path in which the measurement element passes outside the left and right lens rims while the measurement unit is laterally moved when the both eyes are traced, controlling the measurement element movement mechanism and the lateral movement mechanism after a measurement of one lens rim is completed, moving the measurement element to the path, and moving it to a measurement start position of the other lens rim.
