PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing rolling resistance while maintaining chain hooking performance, water-discharge performance and on-snow performance. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire has a tread part in which a land part 24 of a block shape is performed blick formation by two circumferential main grooves and a plurality of sub-grooves 23 extending in the mode communicating with the circumferential main grooves. The pneumatic tire includes an overlapped part 25 formed so as to vary an inclination angle relative to a normal of a step surface 21 of a tread part in the mode that groove walls 23a, 23b of the sub-groove 23 opposing to each other in a tire circumferential direction are not contacted with each other in an extension direction of the sub-groove 23 and are partly overlapped; and a penetration part 26 constantly formed with the inclination angle in the mode that the respective groove walls 23a, 23b of the sub-groove 23 opposing to each other in the tire circumferential direction are not overlapped in the extension direction of the sub-groove 23 in the sub-groove 23 extending between land parts 24. Further, a ratio of a dimension Bv in a tire width direction of the penetration part 26 relative to a dimension Bw in the tire width direction of the land parts 24 divided by the sub-groove 23 is set to a range of 0.2≤Bv/Bw≤0.7.
