PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively cool a drive motor, reduce suction resistance and avoid shortage of air flow and increase of noise by securing large draft air duct formed in a scroll case even when a blower unit is stored in a limited storage space. SOLUTION: A motor body part 30 of the drive motor 3 is projected to an inside of the scroll case 2, and a multiblade fan 4 installed on a rotary shaft 11 of the drive motor 3 is formed equal to or smaller than a diameter of the motor body part 30, and is arranged adjacently in the front and rear in an axial direction with respect to the motor body part 30. Consequently, the draft air duct 32 delivering air is defined by a side surface of a section projecting to the inside of the scroll case of the motor body part 30, an outer circumference of the multiblade fan 4, and an inner surface of the scroll case 2.
