Aluminium hydroxide composite material wherein the hydrogen atom in the hydroxyl group of aluminium hydroxide is replaced by a polymer chain, and said polymer chain includes a structure derived from a compound containing a group which can react with the hydroxyl group of aluminium hydroxide and an atom-transfer radical polymerization initiating group, and a structural unit derived from a monomer having a radical polymerizable unsaturated bond.
