An air conditioner provided with a suction device (58) for discharging air to the outdoors, said air being air sucked from a suction opening; an electrostatic atomizing unit (30) for generating electrostatic mist; a high-voltage transformer (24) for supplying high voltage to the electrostatic atomizing unit (30); and a control section (42) for controlling the high-voltage transformer (24) and the electrostatic atomizing unit (30).  Because the suction device (58), the electrostatic atomizing unit (30), the high-voltage transformer (24), and the control section (42) are connected to each other, the suction device (58), the electrostatic atomizing unit (30), the high-voltage transformer (24), and the control section (42) can be taken out of the air conditioner all together as a unit.  This reduces man-hours of inefficient work in a high place and improves serviceability.
