<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a membrane which prevents a liquid body arranged in a membrane forming zone from running over a partition and in which the liquid body spreads over the whole surface of the membrane forming zone when the liquid is solidified, and to provide a method for manufacturing an electric-optic device, an electric-optic device, and an electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for forming the membrane, by arranging the liquid body containing materials of the membrane on the membrane forming zone stipulated by being enclosed with the partitions on a substrate, includes: a process of forming the partition by at least partially using a wettabiity-variable material which can change the wettability to the liquid body; a process of arranging the liquid body on the membrane forming zone; a process of changing the wettability of the wettabiity-variable material, constituting the partitions, to the liquid body in a state of arranging the liquid; and a process of manufacturing the membrane by solidifying the materials of the membrane.
