Provided is a tension-moored floating body and a method for towing and installing the tension-moored floating body by which the static restoring force of the tension-moored floating body can be increased when towing and installing the tension-moored floating body so as to assure its stability, and the required large-scale marine performance and usage frequency can be reduced as a result. Furthermore, operations for attaching tension-mooring cables and adjusting their lengths can be performed above the water level during installation and after installation. With a tension-moored floating body (1), with which a floating body (12) that consists of a columnar body (12a) that passes through the water surface (3) and a submersed floating body (12b), and lower mooring parts (14c), that are installed at the bottom of the body of water (2), are connected together using multiple tension-mooring cables (13), tension is applied to the aforementioned tension-mooring cables (13) in order to hold the position. The floating body is configured such that mooring members (15) with floating parts (15a) that pass through the water surface are provided connected to the aforementioned submersed floating body (12b), and the upper ends of the aforementioned tension-mooring cables (13) are fixed to upper mooring parts (15c) that are provided on the aforementioned mooring members (15) at positions above the water level.
